Who is your Favorite New Kid on The Block? Mine is Joey.
OK, so I was rooting around and came across this NKOTB (New Kids on the Block) book from when I was in 6th grade. (this book came out in 1990)
I was a HUGE NKOTB fan - it was actually my first concert. I went with my sister. I was in love with Joey. Looking again at those dreamy blue eyes I can totally remember why I fell in love. Also, I loved his style (the cat with the shades is super hot).
Upon reading his profile in the book it is now apparent that Joey and I could never be together.
Favorite Drink: Anything nonalcoholic, especially Classic Coke Seriously?
Did you Know???? That Joe travels with a good-luck teddy bear when he’s on tour? Wimp.
Height: 5′6″ He is shorter than me!!?!
Weight: 120lbs Seriously, I outweigh him. Yikes.
Clearly Joey and I could never be together.
My sister (if I recall correctly) liked Jordan. I think it was the hot ear-ring and hair style. Or possibly it was because his Favorite song is “you make me feel brand new” by the Stylistics.
Then there was Donnie Walberg… he actually looks kind of the same now as he did then… According to the Book his words of advice are “Peace out” and “Just say no to drugs”. Clearly he is a deep and spiritual man. Also, his favorite show is Sesame Street (no kidding!).
Next is Danny Wood, Probably the creepies looking of the New Kids. His favorite drink is “water” (lame) and his favorite food is “anything that doesn’t move. In particular chinese and italian.” What is up with the balloons in that pic though? Seriously.
Last but certainly not least is Jon. Jon was the tallest of NKOTB at 5′11″. Clearly we were best matched for each other: “Best Childhood Memory: Spending summers with his grandparents in their Canadian cottage.” Jon also says that “he likes a girl that he can talk to. Pretty girls are fine, but intelligence in what really captivates him.”

My favorite New Kid is Danny, cuz I love his muscles and his big smile. He is so sweet.
